词根拆分
词根派生re-（往回）+ cord（心）=「把……带回心中」。在没有文字的年代，保存东西的唯一办法就是记在心上、背下来。record 字面上就是把某样东西召回心中。后来这个动作搬到了身体之外的纸张和磁带上，但画面没变：record 是被存起来、以便日后取回的东西。
