tens（tend 的 tensum 形式，"伸展"）+ -ion（状态）= "被拉伸的状态"。绷紧的吉他弦、紧绷的肌肉、两国之间紧张的对峙，都是同一幅画面：被拉得紧紧的，随时要崩断。物理上的拉力和情绪上的紧张共用一个词根意象。
